Director, Hebrew and Religious School Position Available

Congregation Shaarey Zedek, East
Lansing, MI, is seeking a
Director, Hebrew and Religious
School to work with Rabbi,
Cantor, Board of Education to:
1. Hire, support, supervise,
evaluate teachers.
2.Develop annual budget and
calendar
3.Participate in curriculum
development
4.Participate in selection of
educational materials
5.Develop, implement school
programs for Jewish holidays and
for school participation in
Friday night services
6. Day-to-day management of school
This is a half-time position.
Salary offered is $20,000-25,000,
commensurate with experience.
Approximately 110 students are
enrolled in grades K-12. Classes
are held September-May, Sunday
morning and Wednesday after
school for a total of 5.5 hours.
Position opens July 1, 2003.
Congregation Shaarey Zedek is a
300-family congregation which is
affiliated with the UAHC.
